Bunnings fans are only just getting over the hidden detail in the warehouse's famous logo and now we have a new theory about another very famous logo that is about to blow everyone's minds.

This time it involves the iconic 'M' or golden arches of McDonald's.

The X-rated meaning behind the McDonald's logo

A theory is doing the rounds suggesting that the famous Maccas logo that is easily identified all over the word is not in fact an 'M' as we're led to believe. In fact, there is a very cheeky meaning behind it that not many people would know.

According to writer Eric Schlosser, the author of Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, the golden arches have a double meaning and the truth came out back in the 1960s when bosses of the fast food chain wanted to change the logo but were urged by their head designer to keep it as it is.

The theory claims that head design consultant to the worldwide franchise, Louis Cheskin, revealed that changing up the iconic yellow 'M' would be a terrible idea for the chain because it was holding a little naughty secret that will keep them relevant forever.

Louis shared that the famous 'M' had a secret X-rated meaning. While it was obviously the letter to diners, when turned upside down, it was in fact a pair of saggy breasts.

We know, ridiculous! But there's more.

These breasts aren't just anyone's saggy old breasts, but "Mother McDonald's breasts."

Now, don't ask us who exactly "Mother McDonald" is... Ronald's mum? His wife? Who knows. And at this point who cares, really!

Fast food fans are shocked by the hidden meaning

Looking at the logo, it's not hard to see that the 'M' does indeed resemble a pair of boobs. Probably ones that have birthed and fed a baby, so the maternal link the designer was going for isn't TOO far-fetched.

But not all fast food fans are convinced by the theory.

"This is the most ridiculous 'hidden detail' theory I've ever read. The only boobs at Maccas are the succulent chicken breast fillets inside the Chicken Deluxe burger and I won't hear anything else to the contrary," one person told Kidspot.

"Oh great, now I have to worry about my partner 'McChicken out' a sign for it's boobs," another diner added.

And another agreed, the theory was rather childish: "This rumour is clearly the work of a 13-year-old boy."

Meanwhile, true or not, others weren't that offended by it.

"I don't know what boobs have to do with a burger and fries, but it's got people looking at it differently now hasn't it?" a mum chimed in.

And another added: "It gives a whole new meaning to the term ‘Golden Arches.’"

Indeed it does!
