‘Dumb a**’: Roxy Jacenko’s daughter’s crude insult to mum

The PR mogul hadn't heard of the make-up brands Pixie put on her gift list, so the 12-year-old called her "stupid" and put her in her place.

It’s not really a surprise that Roxy Jacenko’s kids are outspoken.

The Sydney public relations mogul doesn’t pull any punches, and when it comes to her daughter 12-year-old Pixie and son 10-year-old Hunter, Roxy will defend them fiercely.

But maybe everyone has a limit.

Roxy recently shared a text exchange between she and Pixie in which the 12-year-old millionaire requested a list of presents.

In the messages, Pixie called her mum a “dumb a**” and “stupid” because she didn’t know what Aquaphor healing balm was.

“Okay so what I want is: Glossier mascara, Aquaphore [sic] stick probs will be in target, Go for Gold top in shot [sic] sleeve and long sleeve from urben [sic] outfitters, Aviatior [sic] nation track suit, and I’m still looking so give me a sec many thanks,” Pixie wrote.

“Got it,” Roxy replied, and then innocently (foolishly!) asked what an Aquaphore stick was.

“No look. Dumb a**,” Pixie replied, sharing a photo of the Google results. “It’s lip balm. Stupido.”

Maybe we’re old fashioned, but we know plenty of parents would take issue with being called a “dumb a**” by their kid. Roxy's reply was affectionately snarky.

“Maybe it’s your excellent spelling,” Roxy replied. “I’ll make it happen. As usual.”

Roxy proudly shared the exchange on Instagram, captioning the photo, “Specific. Very specific.”

Pixie later commented on a pool photo her mum posted. “No time for resting,” the 12-year-old said. "Get shopping for my stuff, thanks.”

“OMG I love you,” Roxy replied. “You are 100% my child. Don’t worry I’m not resting. I’m working, just on my back.”

Pixie Curtis’ Christmas list sparks outrage

Roxy’s followers will be well-acquainted with Pixie’s attitude.

This past Christmas, 43-year-old Roxy shared Pixie’s Christmas list which was split into two categories: expensive and mid/cheap.

It included some pretty bougie items: a $9000 Goyard handbag, Yeezy shoes, a $135 swimsuit, and $142 onesie by Kim Kardashian’s Skims.

Many of Roxy’s followers are there for the spectacle of a crazy lifestyle that normal people will never live, but some slammed Pixie’s gift list, calling it “gross” and “vapid”, and disapproving of the fact that a tween would want an item from a shapewear brand.

At the time Roxy responded, “People have too much time on their hands”.

“Ask any parent of a young lady of this age, you’ll find the list is somewhat the same.”
