Get ready to strap on your ice skates, Gold Coasters will soon be able to head into a new winter wonderland complete with an ice rink, tobogganing slope and even a walk-in snow globe.

GOLD Coasters will skate right into a winter wonderland at a city theme park next month.
Dreamworld will launch its Winterfest celebration on June 29, boasting an ice rink, tobogganing slope and even a walk-in snow globe.
A Dreamworld spokeswoman said the park would be putting a unique twist on the city’s snow season.

“Since our winter days on the Gold Coast are more like a cool summer’s day globally, we wanted to bring the traditional white winter to our neck of the woods,” she said.
Winterfest is set to be the largest winter-themed experience on the Gold Coast.
The spokeswoman said those visiting would be able to walk through a large snow globe, perfect for photo opportunities, as well enjoy the tobogganing slope in Main Street.
The Dreamworld Exhibition Centre will also open as an ice rink.
More winter-themed attractions will also be available during the festival, which runs from June 29 to July 21.
