'Disappointing': Mum fumes over 'inconsiderate' parking act

"This has just shown that there’s a lot of carelessness in this world now which is kinda disappointing."

Finding a car space as a parent with little ones can be tricky to say the least.

But, mix that in with some questionable drivers taking up the ‘parents with prams’ spots, and it gets a whole lot harder.

One Aussie mum has taken to social media to vent about her poor experience at a local shopping centre - but people are divided.

“A not so lovely note may have been left…”

A Melbourne mum has taken to Facebook to expose some bad parking at her local shopping centre.

Posting anonymously, the woman provided a photo of the bad park in a ‘parents with prams’ space, with the car diagonal and just touching the line.

“Malaka at Westfield Knox in the parents with prams parking…” the woman wrote.

“A not so lovely note may have been left.”

“Anyone can park in these spots…”

Initially, commenters weren’t quite on her side, acknowledging that the driver had every right to take the spot - and was technically still in the boundary lines.

“Literally anyone can park in these spots…” said one person.

“They haven’t crossed the yellow line… Not to mention parents parking is a privilege there is no law with using the parking spaces,” said another.

“Technically they’re in the lines,” a third agreed.

“This has just shown that there’s a lot of carelessness in this world now”

However, the woman was quick to clarify that this was not the issue at all - instead focusing her criticism on the driver’s lack of consideration for others.

“It’s not the fact that this person has parked in a parents spot. I couldn’t give a shit if they had kids or not, it’s the fact that there was no consideration when they parked or even adjusted their parking when it’s a parent’s spot,” they wrote in an update to the post.

“I guess maybe I’m just considerate of others but when I see a sunshade on a car in a parents spot I’m always conscious they have enough room to get in and out, but I guess not everyone is like that.

“Capsules are big, bulky and heavy, not the easiest thing to manoeuvre into a car but I guess this has just shown that there’s a lot of carelessness in this world now which is kinda disappointing.”

“It’s not hard to park properly!”

And to that, there were definitely some in agreement.

“Definitely frustrating when people park wonky.. idc when my kids swing their door open and it scratches the other persons car anymore because park properly eeediot,” one person said.

“It's not hard to park properly within the lines, in fact it's just lazy not too. I rarely park in parents with prams because I couldn't care less. But when people in any spot park like this it gives me the shits. Just park straight,” another agreed.
