IT could be last drinks for a Saturday night on the town as demand booms for lavish brunches to replace the debauched night before.
Gold Coast ladies are leading the push for more ticketed brunch events, complete with bottomless drinks, live music and elaborate photo walls for all-important social media snaps.
White Rhino in Surfers Paradise is one of the local businesses embracing the trend with plans to make it a monthly event.
The new venue held its first lavish ladies brunch yesterday, with around 120 women paying $100 each to attend the luxe event hosted by Married At First Sight star Davina Rankin.

White Rhino events manager Bree Maloney said it was clear locals were looking to expand their social calendars into the mornings.
“Here on the Gold Coast we’ve generally got great weather so it makes sense that people want to make the most of their day,” she said.

“It’s a classy crowd that we’re looking to attract and I expect to see more venues on the Gold Coast doing events like this soon too.”
The Magic Millions back in January added a swanky, champagne-fuelled pre-Magic Millions Polo day brunch function at Nineteen at the Star to its itinerary.
Ms Rankin, who runs two brunch event companies of her own, said she is overrun with demand across all of southeast Queensland.
“I’m actually looking to franchise my business because it’s a massive movement and the girls love it,” she said.
“It’s a ‘no reason’ event to get dressed up, meet new people, interact and even network for business — a lot of ladies we get coming along come solo.”
