Day five: Schoolies don’t learn with arrests for drugs increasing

IT’S day five and Schoolies still haven’t learn their lesson. A whopping 17 were arrested the following night but the arrests have continued for the same reasons.

DRUGS and public drinking are continuing to get Schoolies in hot water after police arrest another handful on the Gold Coast last night.

Overnight police arrested 11 school leavers on 13 offences, mainly for drug possession.

There has also been an increase in female schoolies arrested with three female schoolies were arrested last night.

Meanwhile, police also issued seven schoolies with liquor infringement notices.

With crowds of school leavers hanging around the Surfers Paradise CBD there were also a large numbers of toolies.

Police arrested 10 non-schoolies on 11 charges, relating to public nuisance and drug possession.
