Thousands of revellers braved the scorching temperatures as they flooded Sydney Olympic Park for St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.

Despite the mercury soaring to the mid-30s on Sunday, the crowd remained in high spirits as they flocked to watch the incredible line-up.

Many festival-goers took advantage of the high temperatures, with many bikinis dominating the fashion of the day.

The “beachy” fashion was everywhere and a sense of freedom permeated the crowd.

In one daring choice, a festival-goer was snapped with a striking see-through dress revealing a black bikini and high black boots.

In another, a woman looked perfectly at ease ambling through the festival with a red bikini top and matching red pants.

Even the men seemed to get in on the breezy summer theme, with some cheeky lads donning long flowing dresses, sport shoes and caps.

Cowboy boots were also a popular choice, with plenty of punters matching the boots with dresses or jeans and pants cut above the knees.

For the men, a daggy summer look seemed to be the theme of the day, with plenty of blokes sporting short jeans and long, flowing shirts with boots or sports shoes and a pair of sunnies.

Hats and caps to shield from the sun were also a popular choice, with fedoras, caps and floppy hats dominant.
