IF all goes according to plan, newlyweds Dan Anstey and Clare Dufty will be expecting their first child by the time they head off on their honeymoon.
SEA FM breakfast favourite Anstey will wed his longtime partner ”Dufty” today at Gilston Manor, in the Gold Coast Hinterland, in front of more than 150 family and friends.

“We’ve got someone coming from Europe, a lot from Melbourne and a lot from Perth — all Dufty’s family are in Perth — and my family from the Sunshine Coast,” Anstey said.
With so many family and pre-Gold Coast friends to invite, Anstey’s Breakfast crewmates Heather Maltman and Ben Hannant missed out.
“Heather said look ‘it’s fine’ but Ben has been lobbying me for an invite to the wedding,” he says.
“Heather is more mature about this stuff but Ben has a tear in his eye whenever I speak about the wedding. I might have to sneak him in somehow.”
The couple are yet to organise a honeymoon.
“When I get time off in December or January we might go over to New Zealand, skiing in Japan or to Mexico,” Anstey says.
In the meantime, they’ve booked a weekend away at Elements of Byron Bay in September.
“A baby-making moon,” Anstey says.
“It’s a mini moon. She’s 31 now so she’s like ‘go time’. I’m the brakes, she’s the accelerator.”

Dufty is naturally surprised and a little shocked to hear Anstey share so much detail.
“I can’t believe he said that,” she says.
“Obviously I’ve always wanted to have kids so badly. He proposed and I was like ‘I don’t care about the wedding’. I want to get started …”
The couple wrote their own wedding vows together and Dufty co-designed her wedding dress with Amber Chloe — “a really good girlfriend of mine”.
“We’re taking photos before the ceremony and stay together the night before and we’re having espresso martinis and dessert in lieu of a cake,” Anstey says.
“We’ve got an acoustic guitarist, Micka Scene, a mate, coming up from Byron and some mates DJing. There’s four or five of them who just happened to be coming to the wedding.”
Wheelchair basketball and tennis ace Dylan Alcott is a wedding guest and David “Luttsy” Lutteral will MC.
