Customers can score 50 per cent off everyday items and 20 per cent off alcohol in this retailer’s “biggest sale of the year” – but there’s a catch.

Coles has launched their biggest sale of the year, with 50 per cent off a range of everyday items and 20 per cent off liquor – but there’s a small catch.

The sale will take place online only, with customers being able to place orders on their website and get their goods delivered directly to their front door.

The retailer is offering 50 per cent off more than 500 “everyday essentials” such as laundry items, olive oil, ice cream, cleaning products, tupperware and dairy products – while all alcohol will be 20 per cent off.

Coles is also “supercharging” Flybuys points, with customers earning triple points on all their online purchases – and new customers will received 30x points on their first online shop.

“Over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have expanded our Home Delivery stores by over 25 per cent to help better service our customers and provide more flexibility,” Coles General Manager of Ecommerce, Merchandising and Operations, Mark O’Connor said.

“This is in addition to Click & Collect now being in more than 740 stores for a direct to boot service and offering same day delivery options in more than 520 stores nationally.

“With a focus on helping to keep the cost of the weekly shop down, for the next two weeks Coles Online has exclusive discounts of up to 50 per cent available on more than 500 items for our shoppers across the store.

“These discounts are in addition to the thousands of specials we already have available for customers instore and online.

“With 20 per cent off our entire Liquor range online, it’s like Christmas in July with thousands of choices available for our customers to save on their refreshments to enjoy at home or with friends.

“Topped off with bonus Flybuys points to be used on rewards in the future, this is the biggest sale we have had at Coles Online this year.”

Some of the savings include 40 per cent off Vittoria Coffee Ground (500g) when customers purchase two for $20 (usually $34), Connoisseur Ice cream Classic vanilla (1 litre) is more than half price for $5.75 (usually $12) and Fluffy Divine Blends concentrated fabric conditioner (1.9 litre) is half price for $6.50 (usually $13).

In addition to the exclusive savings, customers who spend more than $250 in one transaction will receive an additional $20 off their shop by using the code VALUE20 at the checkout.

All online customers will also receive $20 off when they spend $250 and free delivery on all orders over $250.
