THERE’S two sleeps left until Christmas and if you’ve left your shopping to the last minute you’ll be greeted with chaos and crowds.

WITH droves of Gold Coaster’s on Christmas holidays gridlock and traffic chaos hit carparks at Robina Town Centre.

Gold Coast Road Policing Unit boss Senior Sergeant Bradyn Murphy was on scene and sort out the chaos yesterday morning.

“With the crowds some people decided to park wherever they wanted, mounting curbs, parking of footpaths and blocking people in,” Senior Sargent Bradyn Murphy said.

He said extra police were called in straighten out the car parks assisting Robina Town Centre police beat for a few hours.

“Tickets were issued,” he said “People need to use their noggins and realise they cannot park wherever they want.”

Meanwhile shopping centres around the Gold Coast have extended shopping hours to help with those last minute presents.
