Gold Coast kindergarteners talk all things Santa, from how he gets into their house to rating his gift-giving

OH, to be a kid at Christmas again.

With Santa Claus coming to town in just over two weeks, the teeny tots at Bauer Street Community Children’s Centre in Southport set some time aside from their busy finger painting schedules to talk all things St Nick.

Some hail him a hero, while others proclaim he will never be as good as Batman.

Disney smash hit Frozen is sitting pretty at the top of every girl’s wish list, with boys hoping to discover action figures, toy cars and video games in their stockings.

But their imaginations really ran wild when they each gave their own, often incredibly thought-out, explanation on how Santa does his job.

Here’s what they had to say:

WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS?

Valentino D’Adderio, 4

“Batman, Hulk, rocket ship, Spiderman, Ironman, Iceman, toy trains and a trumpet. Tell Santa I want 10 presents.”

“There’s a pretend monkey at Target that wees and poos. I really want it.”

Cooper Bailey, 4

“The house is locked so I open the front door for him.”

Oliver Clarkson, 4

“He gets a big chainsaw and cuts a hole in the roof.”

Hattie Lee, 4

“He has magical powers and gets the elves to make him a big key and then he puts magic on it so it can open all the doors.”

“I think he digs a hole or gets the reindeers to push the door down.”

“The train people pick him up from his house and he catches that because it’s really fast.”

“He has Rudolph who has a shiny nose and is really fast.”

“I love you more than Mum and Dad and I want to come live with you and go for a ride in the sleigh.”
