Burleigh Heads Stockland launch ‘Deliver-On-Demand’ marketplace personal shoppers

THE luxury of a personal shopper is now not just for the rich and famous.

Burleigh Stockland has launched Deliver on Demand, a app that allows you to shop at the Burleigh Heads shopping centre with the help of a personal assistant.

Deliver on Demand co-founder Marcos Law said the service was inspired by Gold Coasters who had a love-hate relationship with online shopping.

“We have noticed customers are becoming more curious about online shopping but also more impatient,” he said.

“It provides them with a new, contactless way to shop and offers an entire shopping centre’s-worth of items to choose from.”

Customers can browse the online marketplace and purchase items from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies, fashion and speciality stores.

Once the order is placed, customers are assigned a personal shopper who attends the shops for them, and who also has the ability to contact and update the customer and order.

Stockland general manager of retail Michelle Abbey said she hoped the service would help struggling retailers thrive during COVID-19.
