A Melbourne woman has gone viral after taking an Aussie TikTok trend to the next level by stripping down to her bikini in Bunnings.
TikTok star @wippa_snippa posted a video of her dancing in a red bikini in the ladder aisle of the local hardware store on Tuesday, with the clip racking up more than 480,000 views in less than 24 hours.
The video is a take on a viral trend sweeping TikTok, which involves mostly Aussie women performing a dance to Men at Work’s Down Under.
@wippa_snippa had originally posted video of her dancing to the song in Bunnings fully clothed.
She claimed in the caption that a “Bunnings worker said she’d do this with me in bikinis if I got 10k likes”.
On Tuesday @wippa_snippa fulfilled the promise by stripping down out of her cardigan to her Shein bikini but revealed the “Bunnings worker bailed”.
Keeping her mask on as per Victoria’s indoor face coverings mandate, the Melbourne woman can be seen taking a warning glance during her dance but isn’t caught on tape.
Viewers applauded her bravery in the comments, with one person describing it as the “greatest TikTok ever made”.
“The man watching the security cameras,” one viewer joked.
“The Bunnings uniform has changed a bit since I was in last,” another commented.
It’s not the only Bunnings-themed TikTok stunt to go viral.
Back in December 2020 NSW woman Leesh Cunningham took her search for a romantic partner to the next level on the video sharing app.
She shared a two-part video of her unorthodox mission on TikTok that sees her wandering the aisles of Bunnings clutching a sign that reads: “Wanted!!! Looking for a husband! Can you help?”
Leesh, who said she’d given up on dating apps, even asked a Bunnings employee if they had any men left in stock.
“I’m just looking for a husband and was told you guys had them here,” she says to the staff member.“ They’re flying off the shelf, if we have any they’ll be in the back corner on the left,” the Bunnings worker responded.
While the Bunnings search didn’t see her find a man in store Leesh later revealed she had been bombarded with X-rated messages online after the videos went viral.
