Top five spray tanners on the Gold Coast: Spray Tan Co named the best in the city

The Gold Coast’s only mobile spray tanning business has been named the city’s best.

Spray Tan Co secured 34 per cent of the Bulletin reader-voted poll, with owner Hayley Coleman saying she couldn’t believe it.

“I’ve been tanning for nearly 16 years, it’s just so nice to be recognised and to make people look good and feel good is just the best feeling in the world.

“It’s so rewarding, it doesn’t even feel like a job, you know, meeting people, making them feel good and then it’s so nice to see them again, I absolutely love it.” she said.

Ms Coleman said Spray Tan Co’s point of difference was the fact that they can come to the client.

“We’re the only spray tanner on the Coast that’s exclusively mobile, it’s definitely a point of difference.

“It’s in the comfort of people’s own home, or, for example, we do lots of bridal parties, so we might go to a group of eight.

“It’s the comfort and convenience of that, I think and sometimes people can be a bit self-conscious so when they’re in their own home, they’re feeling a bit better about it,” she said.

Ms Coleman said they were getting into their busy period as wedding and formal season rolls in.

“September is our busiest month for the year, we have nearly 70 tans just this week,” she said.

Ms Coleman offers mobile tans as well as tans at her home, with pricing ranging from $40.

Tans by Rebekah Joy was runner-up for the Gold Coast’s best spray tanner with 32 per cent of the vote, Ella Baché Coomera was third with 11 per cent, Gold Coast Tans fourth with nine per cent and Bella Bronze Tan fifth with six per cent.

Nominations, via the comment section on our Facebook post, will be calculated and finalists will be announced on Friday, August 30 @ 6pm.

Finalist voting will be a subscriber-only poll vote that runs on the Bulletin website.

The poll will close on Friday, September 6 @ 6pm.

The winner will be announced in the Gold Coast Bulletin paper and online.
