Gold Coast personal trainer Jack Jeffress has a tip for everyone starting their new years resolutions: working out in a group is more beneficial for each client, mentally and physically.

Mr Jeffress has been voted the Gold Coast Bulletin’s best personal trainer on the Gold Coast.

He said he started working in the fitness industry when he graduated All Saints Anglican college in 2012 and said he always found himself reverting back to personal training.

“I know I can make an impact on the community with what I do and that’s why I really love it,” Mr Jeffress said.

“I want my clients to be able to move and feel good about their body whether they are 16 or 60 years old.”

He said he grew up staying fit by playing sports and keeping active during his spare time.

“I am always creating programs to suit not just a physical goal but a numbers goal, for example; how far can you can row?” Mr Jeffress said.

“It makes it a bit more fun and incorporates mental longevity as well.

“I find the group sessions more valuable for the individual. At the end of the day you can’t go hundred miles an hour for a full hour,” he said.
