Nobby Beach reopens after shark sighting by Gold Coast lifesavers
A GOLD Coast beach has reopened after a shark sighting this afternoon. The beach was closed when a lifesaver spotted the creature.

A GOLD Coast beach has reopened after a shark sighting this afternoon.
About 3pm, at Nobby’s Beach was closed when a patrolling member spotted the shark.
An inflatable boat and two wave runners were dispatched to try and find the shark and guide it away from shore, but they could not locate it.
An eagle ray was spotted while members patrolled the waters.
The beach was reopened 20 minutes after the incident when lifesavers were confident the shark was long gone.
This morning a shark was spotted by a surfer at Kingscliff beach.
