Fishing

Offshore: Dolphin fish, black marlin on the 36 and 42 fathom reefs. Spotty mackerel on Mermaid reef. Blues at Nine Mile, Fidos.
Seaway: Mangrove jacks around the council chambers and convention centre bridges. Bull shark around entrance to Monaco St canals. Flathead from Perry's Bank south to the Seaway pipeline.
Jumpinpin: Whiting around Green and Gold Banks. Also try the beach gutters behind the Bedrooms. Flathead along Tiger Mullet Channel, close to bank and back waters of Cabbage Tree.
Paradise Point: Bream along Paradise Point walls. Flathead Browns Inlet and opposite Little Crab Island. Mud crabs in the mid reaches.
Tweed:Tailor off the southern headlands, watch the swell. Try for whiting downstream from Seagulls towards the wall. Try the shallow channels for flathead leading into both lakes. Mangrove jacks along Chinderah wall on lures and live bait.
Diving:
High tide is 11.51am at Tweed bar, 21C water temperature, westerly winds around 10 knots, 8-10m visibility out wide. Easterly swell 1.5m. Leopard sharks, wobbegongs, manta rays and turtles and dolphins out and about.
