GOLD Coast and Tweed Heads fishing and diving report with Paul Burt and Kirra Dive.

Offshore:

Great conditions over the weekend. Try for dolphin fish off the 36s; a few mackerel Palm Beach and Fidos. Try around the Gravel Patch for Spanish. Been a few black marlin off the 36s and 42s.

Seaway:

Big eye trevally entrance and Nerang River. Good catches of bream around the headland Burleigh along with tailor. Mud crabs in the mid reaches of the Nerang River. A few jew on the pipeline and north wall.

Jumpinpin:

Dart around the entrance. Quite a few flathead in the mix. Try your luck for good catches of whiting northern banks of South Straddie. Been nice catches of mud crabs in the back waters. Plenty of school jew southern tip of north staddie.

Paradise Point:

Flathead around the flats and Broadwater parts. Try Perry's Bank north and the entrance to Browns Inlet. Mud crabs pushing out the creek after shower activity.

Tweed:

Mangrove jacks moving around the canal entrances and the marinas. Flathead in Jack Evans; bass in the back waters. Try using spinner baits and vibes.

Diving:

High tide will be 6.02am. Southerly winds in the morning heading SSE around 10 knots in the afternoon. East swell around one metre. Visibility 10 -12 metres. Water temp 22 degrees. Seeing leopard sharks and rays.
