Gold Coast and Tweed Heads fishing and diving report for November 18

GOLD Coast and Tweed Heads fishing and diving report with Paul Burt.

FISHING:

Offshore: Good out early squire and snapper on the 24s off surfers, Mud Hole, 32s of Tweed. A few larger snapper and tusk fish 26s northeast of the Seaway. A few marlin and dolphin fish 50s.

Seaway: Plenty of school jew at the tower to the end of the south wall on the top of the run-out tide. Also try the pipeline bottom of the tide. Sand crabs opposite Southport pool, TSS and Labrador. Quite a few flathead from soils to Perry's Bank. Mangrove jacks Monaco st canals.

Jumpinpin: Sand crabs throughout Five Ways, Wally's Gutter and Cabbage Tree reach. Few flathead shallow gutters Tipplers channel, Wally's gutter and mid reaches Caninpa passage. Mud crabs lower reaches of the river and Redland channel. A few jew fish run-out ide.

Paradise Point: Mangrove jacks Salacia Waters, through Salt water creek and Paradise Point walls. Flathead from Currigee north to Tipplers channel inside south Stradie. Trolling lure work best run in tide.

Tweed: Mud crab pushing out lakes around Stotts Island. Quite a few bream along jack wall, Fingal and the bank of Kennedy Drive. The odd whiting Kingscliff beach. Mangrove jacks around Tumbulgum Bridge and around Anchorage Inlet adjacent the marina.

DIVING:

High tide is 9.26am. Swell will be ESE under one metre. Light winds around 6 knots NNE. Water temperature is 22 degrees. Visibility is good 12-17 metres. Seeing snapper Snapper, yellowtail king and big bull rays seen.
