Offshore: Snapper and squire on the 24s off Southport and Burleigh. Tusk fish and jewfish 36 fathoms off Tweed. Blue Marlin on the wider see mountains along with smaller black marlin off North Straddie but not in numbers.
Seaway: Plenty of baitfish in the main channels on the morning running tide. Try for trevally, kingfish and tuna around the entrance. Been a few mangrove jack's around the canal entrances and bridge pylons throughout the Nerang River.
Jumpinpin: Jewfish around the trees on the northern side of the bar entrance. Flathead along the flats adjacent the measured mile, Tipplers channel and throughout Jacobs Well channel. Few mangrove Jack's in the lower reaches of Logan.
Paradise Point: Mangrove jack's around the Paradise Point bridges and along the rock walls in the southern arm of the Coomera River. Plenty of flathead around the creek and river entrances mainly on the edges of the same flats try using soft plastics or hard bodied lures. The odd javelin fish in the main channel north of Sovereign Islands on the morning high tide.
Tweed Heads: Mangrove jack's around Stott's Island, Chinderah wall and the bridges further upstream towards the weir. Whiting can be caught in a shallow beach gutters on beach worms and yabbies. Try for bream around the bar entrance along with Trevally on the making tide.
DIVING:
High tide 7.32am. Swell ESE less than one metre. Winds NNE 12 knots. Visibility: 15-20m at Cook Island. Water temp 21deg. Seeing heaps of manta rays and turtles seen.
