Offshore: Still choppy - conditions expected to ease tonight. Once the weather settles best to try for kingfish on the shelf, squire on the 36's, mackerel on the local bait reefs.
Seaway: Big eye trevally around the canal entrances. School jew opposite the Seaway Tower. A few tailor around the ends of the walls.
Jumpinpin: Tailor around the entrance on the run in tide. Mud crabs lower reaches of the Logan River and Redland Bay channel. A few flathead adjacent Jacobs Well and Slipping Sands.
Paradise Point: Bream northern channels of Sovereign Islands. A few grunter bream here as well, mainly on the morning run in tide using yabbies. Trevally and jacks in Runaway Bay canals.
Tweed Heads: Flathead along Kennedy Drive near the reef adjacent Scales. Try using live herring which can be jogged up around Boyds Bay bridge. Whiting and sand crabs in the back waters near Seagulls. A few jacks along Chinderah Wall and Tumbulgum Bridge.
DIVING:
High tide is 9am at Tweed bar. Visibility has improved dramatically at 10-15m; water temperature 21C. Southerly swell 1.8 - 2m. South easterly winds 8-10 knots. Excellent diving conditions for the beginning of Summer with heaps of octopus in the river; blue gropers, turtles, dolphins and the around Cook Island and the leopard sharks are not far away.
