Offshore: Squire and kingfish on the 36s off Tweed. Bait balls on the 24s so try trolling for pelagics such as marlin or dolphin fish. Trag and squire on the 24s, 26s and Burleigh Gravel Patch.
Seaway: Trevally and mangrove jacks around the entrance to Monaco Street canals. Also try the main river between the Council Chambers and Isle of Capri Bridge. Flathead along the inside of the northern Seaway wall. Mud Crabs mid reaches of the Nerang River and canals.
Jumpinpin: Mud crabs mid to lower reaches of the Logan River and surrounding mud flats. Jew fish in the holes of Mark's Rocks and around the Powerline bases. Few garfish around Pandanus Island. Whiting in the shallow beach gutters and opposite Cabbage Tree Point.
Paradise Point: Mangrove jacks around the walls of Paradise Point and throughout Runaway Bay canals. Bream similar areas but in large sizes. Sand crabs throughout Paradise Point channels and adjacent Brown's Inlet.
Tweed Heads: Bream on the main bar walls along with trevally and the odd flathead. Try from the hospital downstream towards the break at Jack Evan's Harbour. Few bass past the weir at Murwillumbah. Jacks around the holes and oyster leases adjacent Seagulls.
DIVING
High tide is 1pm at Tweed bar. 10-15 north north-westerly winds; less than 1m southerly swell. Water temperature 23C; 5-8m visibility and we have been seeing plenty of octopus, manta rays, turtles, wobbegongs and dolphins.
