ACTOR Chris Hemsworth has snapped his surfboard in big swells off the Gold Coast.
The superstar, who lives in Byron Bay, posted a video to Instagram today of him being towed-in to big waves on a jetski by mate Luke Munro.
Beaches were closed for several days on the Gold Coast this week as dangerous swells up to 6ft were whipped by an East Coast Low that bore down on the region bringing 200mm+ of rain.
While his video showed him carving up, Hemsworth didn’t mention that minutes later he snapped his board when he wiped out.

But mate Munro wasn’t so quiet. He released video of a sheepish Hemsworth as he clambered back on the jetski with just a small piece of his Emery Surfboard remaining.
Chin up Chris! You shredded with the best of them!
