‘Almost too trampish’: Sexy beauty trend both men and women love

An “almost too trampish” trend has spread across the globe – and according to Jana Hocking, women and men alike are obsessed with it.

Dating Advice: The six types of men to avoid on dating apps

There is an X-rated dating trend happening right in front of our faces, and I would go so far as saying millions of women are partaking in it worldwide.

In fact, it’s been happening for a few years, but I’ve never been able to put a name to it.

Well … deep down I think I’ve always known what it was, but perhaps, as someone who takes part in it, I didn’t want to admit it to myself. It’s almost too trampish.

And yet, I do it. And you may very well too.

I came across the correct term for this trend during a late-night Instagram scroll. It was one of those scrolls where you end up watching a gazillion reels and then wonder how an hour has passed by so quickly.

Having watched a couple of funny dog videos, a personal growth clip (preach, Brené Brown, preach!) and yes, some shameless reels from my favourite astrologers about when I can expect the next full moon and what it will mean for my star sign blah blah blah … I eventually stumbled across a clip of Khloe Kardashian having a very rude chat with Howard Stern on his popular radio show.

He started by asking her what she wears to bed, and of course she said she went “naked”. But that’s not the juicy bit.

He then said, “I hear you give great b**w jobs,” and she goes – “well, I’ve got DSL lips”.

“DSL??” Howard asked, and she explained it stood for “d**k sucking lips”.

Now, if you’ve been following the Kardashians’ journey as eagerly as I have (yes, shameless, but everyone’s got that one show they relax to …) you will know she gets filler in her lips. Yes, her DSLs were obtained by a little jab jab in the face.

And I hate to be a product of the social media world I consume, but having also watched her sister Kylie’s face transform thanks to some gorgeous store-bought lips … and then getting envious when a friend of mine turned up to dinner with her own new set of DSLs, I decided to take my hard-earned pennies and give them to someone holding a mighty big needle filled with filler. Oh, and a great big tank of happy gas to calm my nerves.

Thankfully, she talked me out of getting the 1ml I originally wanted to inject into my lips and gave me a very subtle 0.5ml to my upper and lower lips.

When I first looked in the mirror, I freaked out. I thought they were huge. The lovely nurse assured me they just swell up like balloons at the start, but within a week, I would love them.

I drove home pondering if I had made the right decision. But then my (then) boyfriend came over and lit up like a Christmas tree. “Oh wow. They look amazing,” he said with hunger in his eyes.

OK, great – I’ve turned myself into one of those OnlyFans girls with the big duck lips, I thought with a sigh.

I was going for natural, and instead he’s looking at me like I’ve just stepped off the set of one of his porn videos. Why? Because my lips looked like mighty fine DSLs.

Thankfully, after a week the lips (and bruising – they gotta tell you about the bruising) went down and they looked much more natural.

Since then I’ve been back twice to get them done with no regrets. I love putting on lip liner that circles my whole mouth. It makes me feel sexy – and who doesn’t want that? I’ve even focused on getting most of it put in the top middle of my lips – think Taylor Swift’s cute cupid lips.

And is it so bad if a guy looks at me with a little more hunger in his eyes than before? I shamelessly don’t think so.

However, for the record, I do give everyone full permission to slide into my DMs and tell me if I go too far. I can’t be walking around with lips that come straight from the set of Married At First Sight. I think we can all agree, giant fake lips look ridiculous.

So, until that time, I am a proud owner of some (hopefully) natural-looking DSLs and I plan on having them for many years to come.

Oh, and for those of you wondering, Khloe then went on to explain the secret to a good oral sex which apparently is “saliva, saliva, saliva and use your hands at the same time”.

Huh … turns out it’s not just Brene Brown who gives good advice during late-night Instagram scrolls. Preach Khloe, preach.
