ALDI’s bringing back a Christmas favourite with more seafood offerings for festive lunches

Around this time every year, ALDI fans eagerly await the announcement of the German supermarket's festive range. For me, it's all about those Goose Fat Potatoes for Christmas lunch. DROOOOOOOL!

Well, my "good, different" friends, the time has finally come.

ALDI has just confirmed what will be on offer for Christmas this year and while I will need to wait a little longer to see if my potatoes make it to the freezer aisle, there is one cult item that is making a comeback.

Seafood favourites are returning to ALDI

The bargain grocer has announced that they're bringing back their fan-favourite Lobster Tails way ahead of Christmas so shoppers can not only stock up for Christmas lunch, but maybe also enjoy a cheeky fancy meal in the lead-up to it, too.

The Specially Selected Premium Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter Glaze ($34.99) is joined by other favourites including Australian Tiger Prawns (1kg/$26.99), Salmon Wellington with Cheese and Dill Sauce ($15.99), and Extra-Large Scallops wrapped in Maple Flavoured Bacon ($14.99).

Salivating yet? I am.

More lobster for your buck

But that's not all. From October 23rd 2024, there will also be other new lobster and seafood additions to make your lunch extra bougie.

Packets of Specially Selected Lobster Thermidor Style Croquettes for just $6.99 will be added to the freezer aisle as well as some deliciously crumbed (in two ways, no less!) Prawn Balls for just $3.99, Filo Prawn Rolls for $3.99, Scallop & Champagne Gratin for $9.99, Scallop & Prawn Bisque Gratin for $9.99, and some impressive Croissant Prawn Puffs for $6.99.

It's good news for anyone planning on entertaining, cocktail style.

Christmas lunch on a budget

ALDI Australia’s Shopping Expert, Kylie Warnke, is excited to be helping families bring a delicious, seafood lunch to the table for Christmas while still conscious of the current financial pressures they're facing.
