THE southern Gold Coast’s McDonalds mogul Marcus Dunn is set to expand his Golden Arches empire.
Mr Dunn operates four McDonalds franchises from Elanora to Robina.
These include Reedy Creek, Elanora, Burleigh Waters and Robina Central.
He has plans in the works to open a new one at Tugun.
Development applications are currently with Gold Coast City Council to approve the new restaurant at 3 Maud St.
The site is next to a Shell service station and Hungry Jacks which sit alongside the Gold Coast Hwy.
Mr Dunn said he expected construction to start on the new restaurant later this month.
“We will be employing hundreds of locals through the process, from construction workers all the way to the crew that will serve our customers,” he said
“Customers can expect a full McCafe, serving barista made coffee through the drive-thru, as well as Playland for the kids and all the latest Macca’s technology, including self-service kiosks.”
