2019 Anzac Day services for Gold Coast, Tweed Coast, northern NSW: Full list

Lest we forget. Here is the full list of Anzac Day services being held across the Gold Coast, Tweed and in northern NSW this year.

ANZAC Day dawn services and marches across the Gold Coast and northern NSW:

BANGALOW

Mid-morning march and service: Assemble 10.30am, starts 10.45am from Railway Park. Service held at Station Street. Barbecue lunch held afterwards at RSL hall.

BEAUDESERT

Dawn service: 4.20am, Beaudesert Cenotaph, corner Brisbane and William streets.

Service and march: Assemble 11.15am, Woolworths car park, Brisbane St to Cenotaph.

BEECHMONT

Memorial Service: 11.30am, Graceleigh Park, 1922 Beechmont Rd. Parade assembly to meet at 11.15am.

BRUNSWICK HEADS

Dawn march and service: Assemble 4.50am at RSL clubrooms, Fawcett St. Starts 5am to Cenotaph. Barbecue breakfast at back of clubrooms after service. $10 donation.

BURLEIGH HEADS

Dawn service: 4.15am, War Memorial Park, Burleigh Heads Cenotaph. Corner of Connor St and Gold Coast Hwy for 4.28am service. Shuttle bus services available from 3am.

March: Assemble 9.15am corner of West and James streets. March starts at 9.30am, to War Memorial Park.

Service: 10am.

BYRON BAY

Dawn service: 5.30am, memorial corner of Tennyson and Marvell streets. For breakfast, arrive before 6.30am at the Byron Bay Services Club.

March: Assemble 10.15am at the Beach Hotel, Bay St, starts 10.30am.

Service: 11am. Lunch at the Byron Bay Services Club, must be booked prior to attending, with the exception of former or serving personnel.

CANUNGRA

Dawn service: 5.30am, DJ Smith Memorial Park, Beaudesert Nerang Rd.

Mid-morning service and march: 10.30am, beginning at Canungra State School to DJ Smith Park.

CUDGEN

Dawn service and march: March starts 4.10am from Clarke St, 4.28am dawn service at the Cenotaph, Collier St.

CURRUMBIN

Dawn service: 5am at Elephant Rock, Currumbin Beach. Gunfire breakfast at Currumbin RSL at 6.30am. Veterans free, others at a fee.

Dawn march: Assembles 4am Teemangum St, starts 4.35am.

Mid morning service: 11.15am at Winders park, Durigan Street.

Mid morning march: Assembles 10.40am at Winders Park. Starts 10.55am.

HELENSVALE

Dawn service: 5.20am at Remembrance Park, 20-28 Discovery Dve. Traditional breakfast for $10 at Club Helensvale after service.

KINGSCLIFF

Dawn service: 5.59am, the Cenotaph, Marine Pde. Gunfire breakfast 6.30am at Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club.

Mid-morning march and service: Assemble 10.15am, starts 10.45am Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club, Marine Pde, to Cenotaph. Service 11am.

MAUDSLAND

Dawn service: 5.30am, the War Memorial, QCWA Hall, 161 Maudsland Rd. Gunfire breakfast provided later at Helensvale Lions Club.

MUDGEERABA

Dawn service: 5am at Cenotaph, Elsie Laver Park, Railway St. Gunfire breakfast at Memorial Hall for a gold coin donation.

Sunset service and march: Starts 3.15pm, corner of Swan Lane and Railway St, to the Cenotaph. Barbecue at Memorial Hall afterwards.

MULLUMBIMBY:

Dawn service: 4.30am, the Cenotaph, Dalley St.

March: Starts 10.50am from Byron Bay Shire Council Chambers.

Service: 11am, the Cenotaph.

MURWILLUMBAH

Dawn service: 5.20am, the Cenotaph

March: Assemble in Brisbane St at 10.10am. Commences to War Memorial at 10.30am.

Mid-morning service: 10.45am, War Memorial, 3 Tumbulgum Rd.

NERANG

Dawn service: 4.45am, Nerang RSL Memorial Club, 69 Nerang St, Nerang. Gunfire breakfast at Nerang RSL.

March: Assemble 9.15am, commences 9.40am at intersection of Nerang and Lavelle streets. Concludes at the Cenotaph.

Service: 10.20am until 11am.

PIMPAMA/ORMEAU

Service: 8.30am at Pimpama Uniting Church, Creek St, Pimpama. Morning tea and sausage sizzle provided afterwards.

POTTSVILLE

March: Assemble 7.30am, Pottsville Beach Chemist, corner Berkley’s Lane and Coronation Ave. Commences 7.45am to the Cenotaph, Anzac Park.

Service: 8am, the Cenotaph.

ROBINA

March: Assemble 8am, Arbour Lane, Robina Town Centre. Commences 8.30am to Robina Community Centre auditorium, 196 Robina Town Centre Dve.

Service: 9am.

RUNAWAY BAY

Dawn service: 5am, Anzac Place, Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch Cenotaph, off Lae Dve, Runaway Bay. Gunfire breakfast at Seagulls Rugby League Club. $7.

March: Assembles 9am Junior Rugby League Club on Morala Ave, departs 9.30am.

Service: 10am, Anzac Place Memorial at Runaway Bay sports ground.

SOUTHPORT

Dawn service: 5am, Anzac Park. Breakfast at Southport RSL 5.30am, gold coin donation.

Dawn service march: Assemble 4am, commences 4.35am from northeastern side of The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands, to Anzac Park

Mid-morning march: 7.15am, commences 8.30am from Cafe Catalina at Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Broadwater Parklands, to Anzac Park.

Service: 9am.

SPRINGBROOK

Dawn service: 5am, War Memorial in Centenary Park, corner of Springbrook and Carrick roads. Gunfire breakfast at community hall. $6.

March: Assembles 10am general store on Forestry Rd, commences 10.15am.

Mid-morning service: 10.30am, the Cenotaph. Food and refreshments in hall. $7.

SURFERS PARADISE

Dawn service: 5am, The Esplanade. Gunfire breakfast at Surfers Paradise RSL 6am.

March: Assemble 11.45am at Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club, march beginning at The Esplanade (near Cavill Mall).

Service: Midday, the Cenotaph in Cavill Park, Cavill Ave.

TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN

Dawn service: 5am, Circle of Remembrance, cnr Main St and Geissmann Dve, North Tamborine.

Mid-morning service: 10.30am.

TUMBULGUM

Dawn service: 4.28am, Memorial Gardens, Bawden St.

TWEED HEADS/COOLANGATTA

Dawn service: 6am, the Memorial, Chris Cunningham Park, Tweed Heads.

Wreath laying service: 6.35am, Goodwin Park, Coolangatta.

March: Assemble 10am Jack Evans Boat Harbour Tweed Heads, corner of Boundary and Coral streets. Commences 10.30am for main parade, 10.35am for children’s parade.

Mid-morning service: 11am, the memorial.

UPPER COOMERA

Mid-morning service and march: 11am, veteran’s march from City of Gold Coast Community Centre at Abraham Rd to corner of Abraham and Reserve roads.

Memorial service: 9.30am, Cenotaph at Charlie’s Crossing Rd, Upper Coomera. Barbecue at 10.30am at John Siganto Park.

March: Assembles 8am Coomera School of the Arts, Gawler Place, John Siganto Park, Upper Coomera. Commences 9am.
