KATE Jones has been given the massive job of looking after tourism, education and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in the next Queensland Government.
Ms Jones, who was elected Ashgrove MP over former Queensland premier Campbell Newman at the last election, was one of 14 Ministers announced by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk at a media conference this afternoon.
Deputy Premier Jackie Trad was confirmed as Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Local Government, Planning and Trade as well and will have responsibility for some of the planning associated with the Games.
