An Australia Day spent on the lawn with a snag in hand is good – but one spent with the Gold Coast’s favourite vocalist is even better.

Performing for an exclusive audience, the six-time ARIA award-winning indie singer-songwriter will take to the Garden Kitchen & Bar Lawn stage for a chilled acoustic set from 6pm on January 26.

The tickets can only be won through Gold Coast radio station 102.9 Hot Tomato.

Vocalist Michaela Baranov will kick off the evening as the opening act.

Fans unable to secure the exclusive tickets can take in the performance live-streamed on the big screen in The Star’s Atrium Bar, with additional live entertainment at Garden Kitchen & Bar on the night including fellow Gold Coast locals McKenzie Duo and DJ James Canning playing on the deck.

After a busy 2019 of touring, Shark said she was looking forward to spending the time at home on the Coast.

“I’m so looking forward to be able to spend some time on the Coast and be able to perform a special acoustic set for a change,” she said.

“It will be a fantastic afternoon and evening of live music.”

The Australia Day celebrations will form the finale of a summer-long entertainment program at The Star Gold Coast, with an line-up of major events across the This Summer Live festival.

The Star Gold Coast Chief Operating Officer Jess Mellor said the Australia Day event was all about supporting some of the Coast’s best talents.

“The Star is passionate about supporting locals and how special to have one of the city’s most popular homegrown talents perform live for a truly special, intimate acoustic performance,” Ms Mellor said.

“Amy’s acoustic Australia Day set on The Lawn will cap an unforgettable summer of celebrations on property that includes The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival, sun-soaked cabana packages poolside at The Star Grand and a stunning new menu at both Garden Kitchen & Bar and Nineteen at The Star.”

The Star’s Australia Day celebrations will extended all weekend, with Aussie food and beverage offers available from Saturday 25 to Monday 27.
