THE finishing touches are being completed on the Gold Coast’s newest $35 million world class attraction with the official opening date revealed today.

Australia’s first Top Golf venue at Oxenford will open its doors to the public on June 15 with Top Golf CEO Kirk Edwards saying the three-level entertainment venue would “revolutionise” golfing on the Gold Coast and the country, bringing much needed local and international tourism to the city.

“Sixty per cent of our patrons will have never picked up a golf club before,” he said.

“It’s first and foremost an entertainment venue and we offer a different perspective to the sport.

“The whole venue will have different levels of competition so it will be great for those who have never played, amateurs and professionals.”

The building is now fully operational and 400 staff will start training on Monday in preparation for the June opening.

“The response has been overwhelming and we are delighted to be bringing this unforgettable experience to the Coast,” he said.

The venue boasts 90 climate controlled hitting bays, 2690 square feet of private event space, a bar on every level and gourmet meals and cocktails.

Hourly bay hire rates start at $55 from open until 5pm Monday to Thursday. Bay hire increases to $65 from 5pm. While weekend rates are between $70-$80 per hour.
