Retros Cocktail Lounge Gold Coast celebrated its seventh birthday in style on Friday night.
Noah Ashton, venue manager of the Orchid Avenue venue in the heart of Surfers Paradise, said they were excited for the future and many more years at Retros.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate Retros seventh birthday, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for [their] support and enthusiasm.
“Over the years, we’ve created lasting memories and together and we can’t wait for what the future holds.
“Here’s to nostalgia, good vibes and many more years of fun,” he said.
Retros Cocktail Lounge was the first Hallmark Hospitality venue open on the Gold Coast Glitter Strip and has been home to hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s ever since.
The venue, owned and operated by Hallmark since it’s opening, has recently been sold to the Australian Venue Co.
Ownership will be transferred in the coming months and was part of a swathe of Brisbane and Gold Coast venues that Hallmark handed over to the Australian hospitality giant.
According to the Australian Financial Review, the acquisition of the ten venues was for about $50 million.
