Hit festival Groundwater is back for 2024 after celebrating one decade on the Gold Coast

After celebrating 10 years of country music on the Gold Coast, hit festival is back for more this year. See the line-up.

The Gold Coast’s Groundwater Country Music Festival has marked its return for 2024 with a star-studded line-up to be headlined by iconic Australian artist Kasey Chambers

Ms Chambers, who has 12 award-winning albums, will be back on the line-up of Groundwater for the first time since 2017.

“It has been a few years since Kasey Chambers has played Groundwater CMF, we are excited to have her return with the band for an epic show.” festival director Mark Duckworth said.

Returning for his third year at the festival is Aussie artist Josh Setterfield, who said it’s one of his favourite events to perform at.

“The vibe here has been the best every time we’ve played each year and last time we played we had a line out the door... people just love to have a good time and it rubs off on us artists as well,” he said.

Mr Setterfield also said there is a community between performing artists.

“I come from a background in punk and it was a lot more stick yourself but here all the artists, we’ll have a drink together and catch up and it’s awesome,” he said.

Also joining the line-up for 2024 are international artists Tom Hicks, Jim Lauderdale and Gord Bamford.

More Australian-based artists are in the line-up, including multiple Golden Guitar winning Felicity Urquhart & John Cunningham, Taylor Moss and rising stars Max Jackson and Sweet Talk, as well as local Gold Coast performer Emily Grace Taylor.

The three-day Festival will be held from 18-20 October 2024 at Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach.
