A new party hotspot will soon light up the Surfers Paradise skyline with Lulu Rooftop and Bar poised to open next week.

The $1.5m rooftop venue boasts a large indoor bar and dancefloor alongside a sprawling open-air rooftop with ocean views.

Lulu manager Steve Csutoros said the project, which had been in the works for nearly 18 months, would open on Monday at midday.

“It’s been a real journey - the menu creation, both food and beverage, and then the furniture design,” he said.

“The most exciting part of doing openings is when you actually see the first people come in and the reactions on their faces and the smiles of the guests that are coming through.”

Mr Csutoros said Lulu’s custom frosé (frozen rosé) wall was a standout feature.

“We’ve got these beautifully bespoke-made stainless-steel dispensers for our frosés and you’ve got different flavours rotating,” he said.

“We’ve got this lolly wall as well so it’s like taking that really fun aspect of your frozen slushie and bringing that kid aspect … and you can add a lolly on to your drink.”

Mr Csutoros said you could see the ocean from the venue’s deck, but that wasn’t the only attractive view.

“The food is beautiful, like it just looks fantastic,” he said.

“It’s going to be the service, the food and the drinks and the cocktails, as well as the interior design and decor — all of it together is going to make us the No. 1 place to hit up moving forward.”

Lulu can host up to 140 people inside and 210 people on the deck.

It’s at the Cavill Mall end of Surfers Paradise party strip Orchid Avenue.
