One of the most unique arts and cultural festivals is gearing up for its annual run on the Gold Coast this August, featuring it’s most impressive program in over a decade.

BLEACH Festival this year will include eight world premieres and 18 Queensland premieres delivered over the 10-day event.

Among those world premieres is Gold Coast-based group The Farm with their new performance – TEN.

The Farm is an award-winning contemporary dance and performance company and the troupe will be performing their new work at the festival’s outdoor stage in Burleigh. They have described TEN as a performance that will “test boundaries, merging movement, sound and theatre”.

Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch said BLEACH showcased the Gold Coast and Queensland as cultural tourism destinations.

“This year’s vibrant program of almost 40 productions, presented by 400 talented Queensland, national and international artists, will bring communities together to engage and connect with arts and cultural experiences,” she said.

Artistic Director of BLEACH Rosie Dennis said she encourages everyone to immerse themselves in this year’s festival.

“[The] program [is] full of free performances in Broadbeach and North Burleigh as well as a BLEACH HOTA takeover and a special ‘slow art’ concert series in Tallebudgera Valley,” she said.

BLEACH will run from August 1-11 with tickets available from June 11.

BLEACH locations include North Burleigh, HOTA, Broadbeach and Tallebudgera Valley.
