Aussie singing sensation The Kid Laroi looked love-up with his TikTok star girlfriend Katarina Deme at a recent LA event.

Homegrown music sensation The Kid Laroi stepped out with his girlfriend Katarina Deme at a recent basketball game in Los Angeles.

The Sydney-born singer and rapper, who turned 18 in August, has been dating TikTok star Deme, 17, for almost 18 months.

The Kid Laroi has had a dream 2021, scoring one of the year’s biggest global hits with his catchy Justin Bieber duet Stay. He also won Artist of the Year at the recent ARIA Awards.

And back in February, he set a new record as the youngest Australian artist with a number one album on the ARIA charts, eclipsing Delta Goodrem’s record that has stood for longer than he’s been alive.

Laroi, born Charlton Howard on August 17, 2003, has also become just the second Indigenous artist with a number one ARIA album (Dr G. Yunupingu’s posthumous 2018 album Djarimirri is the other).

Earlier this year, Laroi featured on Elton John’s radio show, with the Rocket Man singer making a prediction that soon came true: “You’re already huge, but I hope you realise what’s gonna happen to you in 2021. You’re gonna be one of the biggest artists in the whole wide world,” he told him.

And Laroi’s girlfriend is also no slouch when it comes to her own career as a social media personality: She’s amassed more than 7m likes on TikTok and 1m Instagram followers, posting selfies and content from her modelling work.

The couple met when The Kid Laroi moved from Sydney to Los Angeles last year.
