ADRENALINE junkies are in for a treat at this year’s show as The Beast arrives on the Gold Coast for the very first time.
The Beast manager Bryce Platt said the ride reaches speeds and heights greater than Dreamworld’s ‘The Claw’, enabling visitors to soar 45 metres above ground.

“It’s the biggest travelling ride in Australia, it gets up to just over 100km per hour and it swings to a height of 45 metres at 120 degrees,” Mr Platt said.

The ride is set to be the main attraction over the weekend, having already gained a loyal following in previous cities.
“I’m pretty sure it will be the most popular over the weekend,” he said.
“We have a bit of a following everywhere, people come from all over to ride it.”
The ride lasts three and a half minutes and costs $15 per ride.
