Just weeks after declaring they were going strong following the Farmer Wants A Wife finale, star Sarah has announced she’s split from Joe.

Queensland woman Sarah, 31, managed to steal the NSW farmer’s heart on this year’s season of the Channel 7 reality series, with the pair leaving as an item during the final episode, which aired in late May.

Now, Sarah has taken to Instagram to announce the couple quietly went their separate ways in recent weeks.

“I was really hoping to not have to do this as I’m a very private person, but it’s incredibly hard to heal while constantly receiving questions & comments about the status of my relationship,” Sarah began, after fans noticed the duo were no longer sharing photos together.

She continued, “Joe and I separated a few weeks ago. This has been one of the hardest times of my life so I want to sincerely thank those who have sent kind messages.

“I understand there may be a lot of questions regarding why, but at this time I’m not ready to talk about that as I’m still processing the information myself.”

Sarah shared a statement on her Instagram account.

The couple’s split comes just two months after the finale aired.

Bobbin, 33, is yet to comment.

A week after the finale, the pair expressed their commitment to making the relationship work.

Sarah, a livestock administrator, said she was regularly travelling to stay with Joe on his farm in Bombala, NSW.

Sarah previously opened up about the toll viewer hate had taken on her.

Their union wasn’t without criticism from fans, who levelled hate at Sarah on social media for her behaviour in the finale, in which she had an awkward confrontation with Joe.

“I was quite emotional and upset, there was a fair bit of trolling,” Sarah later told 7NEWS.com.au.

“So that was probably one of the hardest times of my life, if I’m honest.

“I got to the end of it and quite honestly I was crying on the phone to Joe.”
