Big Brother Australia 2025 winner announced

There were five contestants left, but only one could earn the title of winner of Big Brother, and the $135,000 cash prize. WARNING: Spoilers.

Big Brother Australia has come to an end for 2025, with the winner of the season revealed during a live finale on Monday night.

And the winner of Big Brother, scoring $135,000 in prize money, is …

Coco.

The 30-year-old NSW single mum to three kids won out over runner-up, 30-year-old WA primary school teacher Emily.

Earlier in the episode, host Mel Tracina presented the final five remaining contestants – Bruce, Colin, Coco, Allana and Emily – with a tempting offer.

Big Brother was offering up a brand-new car worth more than $40,000 to one housemate, with a catch: They would have to self-eliminate and lose out on any chance of winning the season and picking up the $135,000 prize money.

“Do you want a one in five shot at $135,000, or do you want to take fate into your own hands?” Tracina asked.

Allana and Bruce both wanted to take themselves out of the running for the win and take the car – but with both of them interested, they had to play a game of chance to find out who would actually get the huge consolation prize.

Allana and Bruce both put their hand up to take the car over a possible season win.

Alanna won the car, with Bruce evicted shortly after, settling for fourth place in the competition. Colin was next to be eliminated, leaving Emily and Coco in the house for an all-female top two.

Colin’s connection in the house with fellow contestant Holly was one of the dominant storylines this season, and after his eviction, he had a simple message for Holly, present at the finale after being evicted a week earlier: “I love you.”

The grand finale came a night after fans were shocked over the brutal way one housemate was evicted from the house in the penultimate episode.

Housemate Edward Doak was sent packing in tears during Sunday’s episode after he was booted off the reality show in a surprise twist.

Each housemate – who have had zero contact with the outside world for the last four weeks – were sent letters from home written by their loved ones. Each letter was read aloud by the housemates and, understandably, there were tears all around.

Edward was the last to get his letter, which was read to him by fellow housemate Bruce.

The note started off as lovingly as the other letters, with Edward’s “mum” telling him how proud she was of him on the BB house.

However, the tone suddenly took a turn and it was soon discovered that the letter was not from home but was written by Big Brother himself to tell Edward he had been eliminated following a public vote.
