Ten’s streaming service undergoes change

The network’s streaming service is undergoing a name refresh following an announcement made last year.

Ten’s streaming service, 10Play, is set to be known simply as 10 after undergoing a name refresh.

The brand will be retired and instead fall under the same name as the live linear offering.

The change was first announced at the network’s 2025 Upfronts presentation.

“Channel 10 recently celebrated 60 years since its beginnings and in 2025 we will harness the power and popularity of this much-loved brand across linear, streaming and digital platforms,” a spokesperson said at the time.

“... These platforms will simply be known as 10 – giving audiences easy access to all our premium content. 10 will be on-air and on demand wherever our audiences choose to consume their premium video.”

Meanwhile, the name 10 Peach (which airs classic sitcoms including Friends) will be replaced by 10 Comedy, and 10 Bold, home of US shows including NCIS and CSI: Vegas, will now be called 10 Drama.

It was confirmed last week that the current affairs and entertainment panel program was wrapping up at the end of this month after 16 years on air, with hosts Waleed Aly, Sarah Harris and Hamish Macdonald all leaving the network.

Ten recently revealed details of the program replacing The Project, which launches on June 30.

10 News+ will be hosted by journalists Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace from Sunday to Thursday, and Hugh Riminton and Urusa Heger on Fridays.

Also featured in the presenting line-up are political editor Ashleigh Raper, Billy Hogan, Brianna Parkins, Samantha Butler, Carrie-Anne Greenbank, Claudia Vrdoljak and entertainment editor Angela Bishop.

Veteran producer Daniel Sutton will serve as EP.

In a statement, Ten said that the new program “will offer a fresh perspective on critical local and global stories, tailored for an engaged audience seeing an in-depth news coverage.”
