One week after Channel Ten announced Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins will front its upcoming series of The Bachelor, the footy star has been snapped getting up close and personal with the ladies competing for his heart.

The 30-year-old was photographed on his first single date of the series — and handing his first red rose to a mystery blonde.

The pair looked happy and relaxed on the date at The Basin National Park in New South Wales. They stripped down to their swimmers and got close while paddle boarding. Cummins was also seen picking his potential love interest up in the water as she threw her arms around his neck. They ended the day with a barbecue on the sand.

While the date might look intimate when it’s shown on the small screen later this year, the paparazzi photos show a team of producers buzzing around the pair — fixing their hair and directing them while a crew filmed their every move.
