The man at the centre of shocking Ricky Martin “incest” claims has a lengthy criminal record and once stalked and threatened to kill a colleague, according to new allegations.
It comes as the singer’s brother Eric Martin claimed in a Facebook Live video that Martin’s nephew has “mental problems”.
The Latin singer’s older brother said that Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, 21, is estranged from the family, and has hurt other relatives.
He added that the family had been struggling with Sanchez’s deteriorating mental health but he and his family still loved their troubled nephew.
Sanchez is the son of Vanessa Martin, the pop singer’s half-sister. He filed a restraining order against his uncle on July 1.
The was order related to a domestic violence incident in Puerto Rico.

It has since emerged that Sanchez has a lengthy criminal record in his native Puerto Rico and once stalked and threatened to kill a female co-worker.
Fox3Now reported that Sanchez’s colleague Claudia Ramrez Martell herself took out a restraining order against him after he became “obsessed” with her.
Spanish News source Marca reported Martin’s own brother Eric revealed the domestic abuse complaint had been made by Sanchez.
In his complaint, Sanchez alleged he had ended a seven-month relationship with Martin who then stalked his nephew.
Sanchez further alleged he suffered physical and emotional abuse during the relationship.
Martin, who is set to appear at the trial on July 21, faces 50 years in jail under strong Puerto Rican sentencing laws for crimes of incest.
Martin’s lawyer Martin Singer has denied the allegations and described them as “not only untrue” but “disgusting”.
He claimed Martin’s nephew is “struggling with deep mental health challenges.”
“Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be — involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew,” Mr Singer said in a statement to Variety.
“The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting. We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”
The latest allegations come after the Livin La Vida Loca singer was slapped with a $4.3 million lawsuit by his former manager Rebecca Drucker who claimed the Latin music icon had failed to pay commissions she earned under their management agreement.
