A TOP US rock band is returning to the Gold Coast as part of a tour to mark 50 years since their first album was released.
America, who have six certified gold and platinum albums, are coming to the Glitter Strip on Saturday, November 30.
Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Dan Peek formed the band in 1970 and produced the hits A Horse With No Name, Ventura Highway, and I Need You. Beckley and Bunnell remain members of the band.

They will be visiting 10 locations across the country as part of their 50th Anniversary Australian tour.
America have played to sell-out crowds on the Gold Coast on a number of occasions in the past decade.
Grammy Award winners Beckley and Bunnell have gained more than 1.4 million listeners on Spotify, with eight songs having more than two million streams.
Their hit song A Horse With No Name has been streamed more than 42 million times.
America will be performing at The Star casino in Broadbeach on November 30.
Pre-sale tickets will be on sale from 10am on Thursday, August 1 until 9am Friday, August 2.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, August 2.
