Richard Gere, 73, and wife Alejandra Silva, 39, make rare red carpet appearance

Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva, who is 34 years younger than the actor, have made a rare red carpet appearance together.

Richard Gere and wife Alejandra Silva looked smitten while walking the red carpet during a rare public outing for a screening of the actor’s latest project.

The 73-year-old US actor couldn’t take his eyes off the Spanish publicist, 39, who stunned in a form-fitting red dress with a deep neckline for the Maybe I Do premiere.

Silva wore her blonde hair in loose waves and opted for subtle glam, while Gere kept it simple in a black suit and navy blue shirt, New York Post reports.

The Pretty Woman star kept his wife close as they smiled for pictures, before meeting up with some of his co-stars, including Susan Sarandon and Emma Roberts.

The couple, who secretly tied the knot in 2018, have kept most of their relationship out of the public eye – including their two young sons.

However, last month they shared a rare glimpse into their life as parents on Instagram.

“Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” Silva wrote alongside a snap of the family standing on a dock.

In the photo, Alexander, 3, matched his younger brother – whose name has not been revealed – in blue crocs as they looked out at the blue water.

Gere and Silva are very protective of their children and have yet to share their faces online.

The family of four are relatively private.

Prior to his relationship with the publicist, Gere was married to Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995.

He was also married to Carey Lowell for 14 years and the former couple share son Homer, 22.

Meanwhile, Silva was married to businessman Govind Friedland from 2012 and 2015. The pair share a 10-year-old son named Albert.
