ICONIC band UB40 have announced their return to the Gold Coast as part of a 40th anniversary tour this year.
Known as the UK’s most successful reggae band, the group will perform at Home of the Arts in Surfers Paradise for their “40th Anniversary For The Many Tour” on May 3.
It comes after sold out Australian tours in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Founding member Robin Campbell said they were looking forward to being back in Australia.
“We’ve been waiting for a chance to get back out to Australia since we last left,” he said.
“So we’re looking forward to getting down under to celebrate 40 years and a new album, in one of our favourite parts of the world.”
Their latest song “For The Many” was released in March 2019, and will be performed along with their classic hits “Red Red Wine”, “I Got You Babe” and “Falling In Love With You”.
It will be the first time the band is back on the Gold Coast since performing the final show at now-closed venue NightQuarter.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday, February 25.
