A group of fans were walking through a popular area in Melbourne when they spotted their idol going incognito.

Pop megastar Olivia Rodrigo has spotted wandering the streets of Melbourne ahead of her show in the city.

The 21 year-old pop star has arrived in Melbourne ahead of four sell out shows at Rod Laver Arena.

A fan spotted her on Peel St in Collingwood and decided to film themselves asking her for advice on how to become a pop superstar.

“Just make stuff every day, just keep going right until you have good quality,’’ Rodrigo, who recently announced some big career news, said in the post uploaded to TikTok.

Fans rushed to comment on the clip, with many sharing how sweet and down to earth the star seemed to be.

“The most genuine person I ever know, so humble and down to earth,” one fan said.

Another wrote: “You’re so lucky!”

“Oh my GOD she’s out here somewhere,” another fan added.

Her upcoming tour will be Rodrigo’s first-ever run of shows in Australia since she became a global phenomenon.

New Zealand singer Benee, best known for her hit Supalonely, will join Olivia Rodrigo as the opening artist before her Sydney and Melbourne shows.

It comes after Rodrigo wrapped up her stay in the Philippines with a performance at the Philippine Arena in Manila on Saturday.

It was a special show for Rodrigo, who is half Filipina.

On Instagram, she wrote that she had “been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. my first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!”

She went on to share that the proceeds for the entire night’s show would be going to Jhpiego, a Philippines-based women’s organisation.

“I got to visit the organisation while I was in Manila,” she wrote on Instagram, “and was so impressed by the work they are doing providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines. “It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. to say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita.”

It’s not the first time that the singer has helped out a good cause.

When Rodrigo toured in Europe, she worked with Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE), a network that operates in 46 different European countries to prevent violence against women and children.
