Pop legend Melanie C spotted in Bondi with Aussie boyfriend

She’s a member of one of the biggest pop groups of all time, but she blended in with the Bondi locals during this beach day out.

She may be one-fifth of the biggest girl group of all time, but ‘Sporty Spice’ Melanie C blended in with the locals during a Bondi Beach outing over the weekend.

In Australia to appear as a coach on the latest season of The Voice, Melanie hit the surf in Bondi along with her Aussie partner, model Chris Dingwall.

The 51-year-old star looked as fit as ever in a tiny green bikini.

The sometime Spice Girl has been in Australia for the past couple of months, and has frequently posted content on her socials from Bondi Beach, suggesting she was based there during her stay.

But those hoping to catch a glimpse of the pop star are out of luck: Melanie C and Dingwall were yesterday spotted at Sydney Airport jetting out of the country.

Melanie C has been dating model Dingwall since at least the middle of last year. The pair went public at Wimbledon in London last July, days after they were spotted walking hand-in-hand at the iconic Glastonbury festival.

And it seems the pair are as loved up as ever: Dingwall posted a selection of photos of them together for Melanie’s birthday in January, writing that it had “been a beautiful year. Looking forward to another amazing one with you.”
“Thank you my love,” she replied in the comment section.

Melanie C will appear as one of the celeb coaches on the next season of Seven’s music contest The Voice alongside Ronan Keating, Richard Marx and Kate Miller-Heidke.

But her Australian jaunt hasn’t just been to further her TV career: the star also made a surprise appearance at a Sydney gay club earlier this month, filming scenes for a new music video.

Melanie C surprised punters at the Red Rave club night on Oxford Street, dancing among the crowd as an unreleased dance track played and cameras filmed her.

She recently released another club-friendly single, Girl, a collaboration with Australian DJ and dance music producer Anna Lunoe.

Those tastes of new music suggest the Spice Girl, who has released eight solo albums, is continuing in the dance-pop vein of her last record, 2020s Melanie C. That album became the star’s first top 10 hit in the UK for 17 years.
