AT last!
Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush and Gold Coast actor Brenton Thwaites are walking the red carpet in China for the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Filmed on the Gold Coast in 2015, the film’s swashbuckling world premiere is currently under way at Shanghai Disney Resort — the first time a Hollywood movie has premiered in Mainland China.
The fifth instalment in the billion-dollar film franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales also stars Keira Knightley and Kaya Scodelario.
The film follows Depp’s character, Captain Jack Sparrow, as he searches to find the Trident of Poseidon, while new ghost pirate villain Captain Salazar (Bardem) seeks to destroy him — and every pirate at sea.
The all-star cast members have been joined by directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for today’s highly anticipated screening at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre at Disneytown.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales opens in Australia on May 25.
