Netflix comedian slammed for ‘wildly inappropriate’ Taylor Swift joke

“Wildly inappropriate”: A female comic is under fire over a pointed dig at Taylor Swift she made in a new Netflix special.

2024’s most defining moments: A year in review

Taylor Swift fans have bad blood with comic Hannah Berner.

Swifties shared their displeasure on X after a “wildly inappropriate” clip went viral of the stand-up comedian poking fun at the pop star’s relationship with Travis Kelce in Netflix’s Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year.

The comic, 33, began by calling Luigi Mangione — the 26-year-old who was recently charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson — “so hot right now.”

Berner quipped, “Who knew besides Travis Kelce that you could become so popular with women by shooting loads into a billionaire?”

One social media user called the joke “outright vile” for “objectifying” Swift, while another claimed it was “degrading to Taylor.”

A third wrote, “Travis Kelce just keeps picking up stray bullets at this point.”

Some people, however, came to Berner’s defence and admitted to laughing at Berner’s “pretty clever” joke.

“It’s a roast,” one pointed out. “What did you expect? G-rated feel-good comedy?”

Berner’s representative has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Last week, Berner set tongues wagging with a different joke from the same roast — this one calling Blake Lively a “c**t” amid her and Justin Baldoni’s It Ends With Us drama.

By the time the special aired, the actress had filed a sexual harassment complaint against her co-star, and she has since sued him.

Baldoni, notably, plans to “absolutely” file a lawsuit against Lively “soon,” according to his lawyer.

Berner clarified on December 27 that she filmed her stand-up set before Lively’s accusations made headlines.

“To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo,” the former reality star wrote via Instagram Stories at the time.

Swift and Kelce, both 35, have been the butt of many jokes since the high-profile couple began dating in the summer of 2023.

At the Golden Globes in January 2024, host Jo Koy joked about the pop star’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games.

“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL?” he said. “At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.”
