A former Home And Away and X Factor star has shared an update as he undergoes treatment for terminal cancer.

Johnny Ruffo has shared an insight into his brain cancer battle, revealing he has begun another round of treatment.

The former Home And Away star shared a photo of his time in hospital on Instagram as he goes through another round of therapy.

“Back in my favourite chair.. 🤪🧠 ,” he wrote about the photo of himself in a hospital chair.

The 34-year-old revealed the worst in August of last year, that his brain cancer diagnosis was terminal.

“At some point, it’s going to get me, but I’m still fighting, still kicking on,” he told Carrie Bickmore on The Project at the time.

“Looking up my diagnosis and my tumour... the average life expectancy was three years”.

“And for me, it’s now been five years. I’m already winning. My goal now is to try and help as many people as I can and also live a happy life”.

The singer was not alone while undergoing the chemo treatment, joined by “incredible” girlfriend Tahnee Sims, who also shared a photo of the moment.

He revealed late last year that he was able to enjoy time off over Christmas from the intense treatment.

“Another year of chemotherapy done, It wasn’t easy but I made it through,” Mr Ruffo said in December.

“Can’t wait to have a few weeks break over Christmas & spend some well earned time with my family.”

Mr Ruffo’s former Home And Away co-stars were quick to offer words of support.

“Sending you so much love Johnny,” Emily Symons said in a comment.

“Big love to you mate, big love,” Georgie Parker said.

Other celebrities and fans also shared love for the star.

“Love from Luke & myself We only met you a handful of times but you truly are one of those people that can always light up a room ❤️,” model Samantha Harris said.
