Infamous celebrity pest booted from Aussie Gaga concert
A notorious celebrity pest who was arrested after attacking Ariana Grande has been spotted in disguise at one of Lady Gaga’s Aussie shows.
A notorious celebrity pest who made headlines last month for launching himself at pop star Ariana Grande during a Singapore red carpet event has been spotted in disguise at Lady Gaga’s latest Aussie concert - and promptly turfed out.
Footage circulating on social media shows serial pest Johnson Wen, 26, inside Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium before being identified by security and escorted out.
Wen has a history of storming the stage at large-scale concerts.
Meanwhile, some punters at last night’s Brisbane show were left disappointed after becoming stranded in huge queues outside Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and missing the start of Gaga’s sold-out concert.
It’s understood that the US pop star took the stage for her Mayhem Ball at 7.40pm – 40 minutes after her scheduled start time – which was believed to be the result of technical issues delaying gates opening. It’s understood punters only began entering the stadium at 6pm, an hour later than planned.
The Courier Mail reports that at least two people passed out in the lengthy lines and required medical assistance.
One concertgoer took to X to vent his outrage, writing: “Thousands of us were left standing outside the stadium after paying hundreds of dollars to see her. Her team and she should be f**king ashamed.”
He elaborated in further tweets, writing that the lines were “wrapping the block for 2 hours.”
“Simply could not get in. The entire opened [sic] wiped out. Didn’t lay eyes on her until ‘Garden of Eden’. A mess.”
Gaga’s track, Garden of Eden, is sixth on her concert set list.
Another punter posted a review of the evening in a lengthy TikTok video, describing it as the “worst experience” that she and her friends had ever had trying to enter a concert.
“So it said the gates opened at five - the gates opened at six-thirty. There was no security guards who had any idea of what was going on. There were three-plus lines for every line so you were just lining up in useless lines,” @Lilyapt said in her video.
“They kept on changing the lines and they finally they just opened it up so we got in to scan our tickets through, and we were like, ‘what’s the hold-up? They’d run out of f**king wristbands. It’s almost like... you know exactly how many people are coming!
She added: “We missed two f**king songs. We cried. It was pandemonium.”
News.com.au has reached out to Ticketmaster and Live Nation for comment.
Suncorp’s official Instagram account appeared to reference the drama at the gates, mentioning the “delayed start” and thanking fans “for your patience” amid a flurry of posts promoting the show.
The serial pest who was recently arrested and deported to Australia from Singapore after breaching the barricades and grabbing Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good premiere was seen being removed from Gaga’s show before it kicked off.
Johnson Wen – known online as Pyjama Man – took to Instagram with a selfie, writing next to it: “Got kicked out of Lady Gaga concert! The show doesn’t start ‘til 8pm! The early fans were booing me.”
Wen added crying laughing emojis to his post.
Footage also circulated on social media showing him being ejected by security, with some witnesses claiming he’d been wearing a disguise, which included a fake moustache.
The 26-year-old made global headlines last month for his Wicked stunt, and was jailed for nine days after being charged with public nuisance.
In his sentencing, Singapore District Judge Christopher Goh described the act as “pre-meditated”.
“You seem to be attention seeking, thinking only of yourself and not the safety of others when committing these acts,” he said, adding that it was “wrong” for Wen to think there would be no consequences.
“You should be mindful that there are always consequences for one’s actions.”
Wen has built up an online following with his celebrity-accosting stunts, which has seen him storm the stage at both Katy Perry and The Weeknd’s Aussie shows in the past. He describes himself as a “Troll Most Hated” in the bio on Instagram account.
